Global Travel Director
Some roles are about keeping things ticking over. This isn’t one of them.
This is a rare opportunity to build something with real influence — to take a growing travel function within a successful global agency and shape what it becomes. Our client delivers high-profile, complex events for well-known brands, and now they’re investing in a dedicated travel lead to grow this part of the business.
If you’re a commercially-minded, operationally-savvy travel expert with group corporate travel / event travel experience, who’s ready to step into something bigger — this could be it.
What will I be doing?
- You’ll lead the travel division — strategically and operationally — with full ownership of how it develops and scales. Your mission is to build a travel offering that sits at the heart of the agency’s client solutions, while also identifying opportunities for standalone group and corporate travel business.
- You’ll define and deliver the travel strategy, shape processes and partnerships, and act as the senior voice of travel within the leadership team. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with scope to influence, grow, and truly make your mark.
What experience do I need?
- Significant experience in the travel industry to include the group corporate travel / event travel sector
- A hands-on background in corporate group travel operations
- Proven knowledge and competency in a GDS ( ideally Galileo/Travelport) is a must.
- A strong strategic mindset with commercial awareness — you understand what it takes to scale a travel service
- Proven leadership and team management experience — you know how to build, guide, and motivate a high-performing team
- The ability to build relationships, win trust, and convert opportunities — whether that's with internal stakeholders or new clients
- Confidence, presence, and a collaborative approach — you’ll be working closely with senior leaders and influencing business direction
- Experience in a fast-paced agency or multi-service environment (like events and travel) would be a real plus.
What else do I need to know?
Salary: £Excellent + bonus
Location: London – 4 days in office, 1 from home
Flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere for up to 20 days per year
Time off: 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays + 1 wellbeing day annually
You’ll be joining a people-led, creative business with exciting growth plans and the support to match
