PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL Managing Director – NDA required £Six Figure + Package
On behalf of our client, Parkinson Lee Executive Search is leading the appointment of a Managing Director to take full operational and commercial responsibility for a UK-based engineering and manufacturing business that forms part of a global group.
With revenues of c.£40m, a workforce of around 60, and a strong international customer base spanning defence, military, industrial and infrastructure, the business is now embarking on an ambitious five-year growth plan. Central to this strategy is the expansion of its defence and military contracts, continued product innovation, and the strengthening of its manufacturing capability in the UK.
The Role
Reporting to the President the Managing Director will:
Hold full P&L responsibility for the UK entity. Lead all operational functions including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and project delivery. Drive improved performance, efficiency, and accountability across the organisation. Champion customer relationships, ensuring delivery excellence across defence, commercial, and aftermarket channels. Shape and deliver a programme of change, embedding KPIs, strengthening ERP capability, and building a platform for growth. Act as an empowering leader for the UK site, developing a high-performing, commercially aligned, and customer-focused culture.
The Candidate
We are seeking a proven senior leader with: Experience of managing an end-to-end assembly/manufacturing operation. Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering growth. The ability to lead change, inspire teams, and develop talent. International exposure and the confidence to operate in a complex, matrix-led Group. A collaborative, values-led leadership style, combined with resilience, strategic drive, and hands-on execution.
The Package
