The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VAT Director to join the London office. You'll play a key leadership role in delivering VAT advisory services, particularly within real estate and financial services, working with both UK and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver VAT advisory projects for a diverse client portfolio.
• Oversee and review the work of junior team members, providing coaching and technical guidance.
• Act as the main point of contact with HMRC, managing correspondence and enquiries.
• Manage budgets and project scopes, ensuring high-quality client delivery.
• Provide strategic advice on complex VAT issues, escalating risks and opportunities where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and support wider business development initiatives.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the VAT team.

About You

• ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven track record in UK VAT with significant hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of VAT issues in financial services and/or real estate is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing compliance and delivering strategic advisory work.
• Collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and developing others.
