Role: VAT Senior Manager / Associate Director

This is a full-time role focused on VAT advisory and compliance services for a wide range of corporate clients including FTSE100, FTSE250, AIM and private equity backed and privately owned businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients and develop targets to support business growth.
  • Provide VAT advisory and some VAT compliance services to clients; actively seek opportunities to sell additional services to existing clients.
  • Communicate regularly with directors/partners; pro-actively manage own workload and identify opportunities to develop new work.
  • Assist more senior staff in client work and in group management when required.
  • Interact with HMRC and client senior management or key stakeholders as needed.
  • Demonstrate ability to work autonomously while contributing to the wider team and practice.

Qualifications

  • Significant understanding and experience of UK VAT with in-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus.
  • Experience in providing VAT advice and reviewing UK VAT compliance; strong business development capabilities.
  • Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities to develop new work with existing clients.
  • Experience dealing directly with HMRC and with client senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Educated to degree level; ideally CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
