Position Overview:
We are looking for an Account Director who has great aptitude in building and maintaining customer relationships, who can help facilitate further growth, and support leading a team to provide the utmost level of client service. You will possess excellent planning and leadership abilities to manage and advise a team of Account Managers, and Executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis – providing strategic insight to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically
- Help develop strategic plans and process across the client portfolio. Setting the goals, strategy and objectives for the Account Management Team to ensure projects are completed to a specific schedule, and within an agreed budget
- Plan budgets and activities, ensuring the timely delivery of services and assets to clients, resolving any issues to maintain and strengthen client trust
- Understand client requirements and needs to offer suitable solutions; generating new business and identifying opportunities for growth
- Review reports for the team and communicate overall quarterly/annual progress to senior management and external stakeholders
- Provide feedback, advice and support to the Account Team; conducting performance evaluations using key metrics
Role Requirements:
- Significant experience in professional client relationship management
- Ideally brand side trained – experienced SBM or MM level
- The ability to plan and strategise at a senior level
- Strong internal and external stakeholder leadership skills
- A creative storyteller with the ability to apply data to quantify opportunities and influence decision-makers
- A sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and a go-getter mentality. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity
- A leader with effective and proven team management capabilities
- A keen attention to detail, with a solid understanding of budgeting and reporting and excellent organisational and negotiation skills
- The ability to spot opportunities with your clients – really understanding their world and supporting them accordingly
- Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms
- A superb sense of humour.. ;)
