Associate Director, Technology Evaluation

We’re seeking a dynamic Associate Director of Technology Evaluation to join an R&D team in Oxford, UK. In this pivotal role, you will lead the identification and assessment of cutting-edge oncology opportunities, shaping the future of cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and assessment of early-phase oncology opportunities.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders, academia, and strategic partners to evaluate technology platforms.
  • Drive portfolio assessment, strategic project management, and external collaboration management.
  • Interpret complex scientific data and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Degree in life sciences; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in academia, pharma, or biotech, especially in early-phase oncology research.
  • Strong understanding of cancer biology, diagnostics, and therapeutics.
  • Proven experience in technology evaluation, portfolio assessment, and strategic project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing external collaborations and assessments.

Nice to Have Skills

  • R&D experience with radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property landscapes and funding opportunities.
  • Familiarity with drug development pipelines and market landscape analysis.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • PhD in life sciences or equivalent research experience.
  • Extensive R&D background in oncology, with a focus on early-stage innovation.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel as needed to attend meetings and research collaborations.
  • Strong commitment to compliance and standard operating procedures.
