OverviewWe have an opening for a highly skilled Highways Specialist to join a leading global design consultancy within their Transport team as an Associate Director. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage project execution for a wide range of projects, as well as help grow the team through business development from new and existing clients. The successful applicant will be supported by the Technical Discipline Manager as well as a well-established team of Engineers to ensure successful outputs are achieved. You can expect to work across a range of engineering sectors including highways, drainage, civil and structural. As a senior member of the team, you will have input into the strategic direction, planning and development of the team, creating new opportunities and prospects, enhancing and broadening team capacity and capability, recruiting new staff, identifying target markets and developing future strategies.You will have the opportunity to work within an experienced team and be involved in a series of exciting challenges with one of the leading environmental and engineering consultancies in the UK.You will have the opportunity to work and travel across Europe and internal business development in a consultancy environmentWhat you need to succeedMasters Degree in Civil Engineering or similarMember of Institute of Civil Engineers or similarA solid track record managing projects and teams, working in the UK on highways and infrastructure projectsProven business development capabilities and the ability to manage high level client relationships and to win and deliver new work through both existing and new client contactsExperience of leading and managing teams of professional, engineering and operational staff in a project, consultancy or contracting environment including proposal and tender writing experienceStrong leadership, project management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, and managing, mentoring and coaching staffDemonstrable knowledge of UK engineering guidanceMust have a full, current, driving licence valid in the UKProcurement and specification writing #J-18808-Ljbffr
