OverviewAssociate Director - Water & Flood RiskI'm working with a leading Environmental Consultancy who are looking to bring an Associate Director into their Water Engineering team, based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step up and take on a leadership role in the delivery of major water and flood risk projects across the UK.The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of work, from flood alleviation schemes for local authorities to surface water separation programmes with utilities, as well as advising housing developers and infrastructure providers on their flood risk and drainage challenges. The role combines technical expertise with leadership, client engagement and business development.ResponsibilitiesGuide projects from strategy through to delivery, building and maintaining strong client relationships.Mentor junior colleagues as the team continues to grow.Lead delivery of major water and flood risk projects across the UK, including flood alleviation schemes and surface water management initiatives.Engage with local authorities, utility providers and developers on flood risk and drainage challenges.Support multidisciplinary teamwork, contribute to bid preparation and client engagement.QualificationsChartered with ICE or CIWEM, educated to degree level (or equivalent).Proven experience leading flood risk or surface water projects.Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and in client-facing situations.Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Microsoft Office is beneficial.Experience in bidding for new work is beneficial.A full UK driving licence is required.Security clearance would be advantageous.What is offeredThe role offers hybrid working and a wide variety of challenging projects ranging from local schemes to large infrastructure programmes.
