This role is based in London, but the team and responsibilities are global. The role requires a hybrid working model with a mix of in-office and remote work.

What does a Commercial Finance Director do at Hogarth?

This role shares responsibility for the performance of a portfolio of high-profile global clients with other key client leadership team members. The team and responsibilities are global.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial thought leadership and be responsible for problem solving and key decision making.
• Lead the business through the commercial landscape to achieve and maintain profitable growth.
• Understand advertising production, exploit new business opportunities and bring innovation to ways of working.
• Become part of the client leadership teams with FD-like responsibilities including budgeting, P&L ownership and analysis.
• Formulate, document and present for approval to senior management client strategic plans, budgets, forecasts and results.
• Develop relationships with clients and work closely with account teams to optimise finance interactions.
• Take the lead in contract preparation, renewal, modification and ensure contractual compliance.
• Develop pricing strategies and support new business models.
• Prepare and present new business proposals and commercial propositions to clients alongside Client Leads.
• Coordinate globally while remaining locally responsive; some out-of-hours availability may be required.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

• Reports to the London-based Global Head of Commercial and Pricing.
• Manages at least one other team member.
• Works closely with Global Commercial Finance, Operations, Client Management and New Business teams.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in a commercial financial role with multi-country responsibilities in a related industry or professional services.
• Team management and leadership skills; effective project management.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Good operational awareness and strategic decision-making ability.
• Ambitious, driven, adaptable and accurate with strong communication skills.
