Overview

As a Client Data Lead/Data Planning Director you will be the strategic and operational head of all data activity on a flagship account. You’ll run a talented team of Data Planners and Data Analysts, leading them to deliver high-volume CRM campaigns while pursuing big strategic plays that transform how our client engages with customers. It’s a mix of hands-on leadership, sharp strategic thinking, and client partnership at the highest level. This is a hybrid role with a mix of working from home and our offices in Farringdon, London.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior data lead for the client, owning and driving the CRM data strategy in line with business objectives
  • Inspire and manage the Data Planning and Analytics teams to deliver work that is accurate, insightful, and on time
  • Oversee end-to-end data delivery across campaigns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency
  • Partner with agency client leadership to design, scope, and deliver strategic initiatives including data transformation, segmentation, customer journeys, and measurement frameworks
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture, using insights to improve performance and unlock new opportunities
  • Work closely with cross-agency and client-side teams (tech, media, creative, and CRM ops) to ensure seamless integration of data across all touchpoints
  • Translate complex data outputs into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor, challenging client thinking and bringing innovation in CRM data, analytics, and measurement

Requirements

  • Experience in CRM and data roles, ideally within fast-paced agency or consultancy environments
  • Proven experience leading large-scale CRM accounts with significant data volumes and complex customer journeys
  • Strong understanding of data planning, segmentation, campaign delivery, analytics, and reporting
  • Experienced in managing and developing teams of data specialists
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at senior levels
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic vision and delivery excellence
  • Curious, innovative, and passionate about using data to power brilliant CRM
