Base pay range

£91,342 to £105,337

Role

Deputy Director of Finance (permanent, hybrid; travel to London or Leeds as required). Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and leading the finance function, you will motivate and lead the finance and procurement teams while delivering continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leading the annual business planning and budgeting cycle, producing the annual financial plan in line with the strategy.
• Developing and delivering the financial management strategy.
• Ensuring a robust financial control environment and provision of high-quality operational finance services.
• Leading the strategic management and direction of internal audit and counter fraud arrangements.
• Managing the delivery of the annual accounts and providing analysis and insight for the annual report readers.
• Leading the provision of procurement services, ensuring value for money through commercial arrangements and compliance with delegated authorities and controls on third-party expenditure.
• Driving service delivery improvements and supporting policy implementation and other changes.
• Analyzing and interpreting complex financial information to identify trends, anticipate issues, and generate solutions or forecasts.
• Co-ordinating the annual financial planning process with operational and corporate teams.
• Contributing to the delivery and oversight of the annual business plan and five-year strategy.

Qualifications

You will need to be a CCAB-qualified finance professional with significant expertise across all areas of finance and extensive public sector finance experience. Strong leadership and management experience is required.
