OverviewDirector, Finance Business Partner (FTC) role at ACCA Careers. This is a fixed-term contract role for a minimum of six months. The role is a senior finance partner to the FTSE Russell leadership team, within one of the LSEG business divisions in the Index and Benchmark industry. The role has end-to-end financial responsibility for the Sustainable business unit and overall cost base of FTSE Russell. This is a significant financial leadership role requiring a dedicated and experienced finance business partner who can work closely with the business leadership to shape the future of the business and drive change.Coupled with a strong financial background, you will demonstrate intellect and curiosity, combined with maturity and the ability to influence effectively across a large matrixed organisation. You will be an effective collaborator able to build strong business partnerships, challenge decisions, and make business recommendations to the leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the financial objectives of the business unit as part of the business unit leadership teamDrive and own all aspects of business performance, including Revenue/Sales, Capital Expenditure, OpEx, Headcount, Margin, and EBIDTA targetsPartner with the COO to manage the cost base across FTSE Russell and drive all cost initiativesLead financial planning and analysis, monthly business reviews (MBR), budgeting process, track and prioritise capex investments and deliver monthly performance analysisWork collaboratively with Group FP&A, Financial Control, HR, Risk, IR, Ops and Engineering to ensure alignment of support and governance frameworkUse underlying trends, metrics, future business plans and external market factors to assist with short-term forecasts, budgets, and business plansLead finance support of major projects ensuring on-time delivery within budgetPut forward commercial ideas supported by analysis to improve business performanceDrive organic investment prioritisation and capital allocation with strong ROI expectations and tracking to drive accountabilityWork with FTSE Russell FP&A to deliver driver-based reporting on all costs and activities of the business divisionsEnsure FTSE Russell division is on track to meet operating cost targets, with colleagues tracking, monitoring and controlling headcountPartner with business leads, corporate development and other corporate function teams to deliver financially compelling M&A opportunities as they ariseFinance Leadership ExpectationsBe recognised as a leader beyond the specifics of their roleDrive decision making with a data and insight driven approach aligned to wider business and financial strategiesMaintain detailed knowledge of business drivers and bring thought leadership; blend technical and leadership skills to create and/or protect value for the GroupBring insight from internal and external sources to move beyond the status quoAct with pragmatism and execution focus to deliver outcomes, and foster the same in our teamsDevelop their direct teams and contribute to the development of the broader functionBe curious with high expectations to drive a high performance cultureKey ExperienceStrong financial services background highly desiredRecognised accountancy qualification and previous business partnering experience in a key Finance roleStrong commercial foresight and insight, providing thought leadership to the client baseExperience integrating businesses and managing through changeAbility to prepare and deliver presentations to senior management with impactProven track record to provide business support and act as a true business partnerStrong understanding of data analysis, forecasting and risk managementM&A experienceExperience working in a matrixed, global organisation and leading a teamAbility to operate independently/work remotely from supervisor and peersClear and concise communication style (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of partnersAbout the Organisation and ValuesLSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
