Job Description
We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and client-centric professional to lead as Director – Markets Client Onboarding. In this senior leadership role, you will set and drive the onboarding strategy for Financial Markets clients globally, ensuring world‑class service delivery across all touchpoints.
You will lead cross‑functional collaboration across Sales, Coverage, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations—ensuring clients are onboarded efficiently, compliantly, and ready to trade across our full suite of products. This is a high‑impact role for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, regulated environment and is committed to continuous improvement and exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute global onboarding strategy for Markets clients.
- Champion transformation initiatives for scale, digitisation, and client experience.
- Align onboarding with Markets growth and regulatory strategy.
- Act as trusted partner to senior leaders in Sales, Coverage, and Risk.
- Represent onboarding in executive forums and audits.
- Lead resolution of high‑impact onboarding escalations with a solutions‑first approach.
- Oversee regulatory readiness including KYC, CIP, FATCA, EMIR, and Dodd‑Frank.
- Ensure compliance with global and local policies.
- Drive proactive risk identification and operational integrity.
- Ensure seamless client onboarding, including e‑platform enablement and trading limits.
- Build robust MI, KPIs, and quality control to drive performance.
- Promote continuous improvement through automation and process redesign.
- Lead and inspire a high‑performing global onboarding team.
- Foster an inclusive culture focused on development and well‑being.
- Provide mentorship and skills uplift across regions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Markets products and client onboarding across jurisdictions.
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational controls.
- Executive‑level stakeholder management and communication.
- Strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery focus.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Track record of leading transformation or digital initiatives.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in client onboarding, Markets operations, or financial services.
- Experience leading complex onboarding and client enablement in a regulated environment.
- Deep understanding of onboarding platforms, workflow tools, and client lifecycle management.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline; advanced qualifications a plus.
