Job Title: Pre-Construction Director – South West / South London

Location: South/ South West London (Hybrid with client site visits)

Salary: £125,000 – £175,000 base + up to 50% bonus

The Role

We are seeking a commercially astute, client-facing Pre-Construction Director to lead front-end engagement across projects in London. You will play a pivotal role in shaping proposals, managing pitches, and steering pre-construction activity to secure and convert business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction process from initial client contact through to contract award.
• Own and deliver compelling bids and presentations, acting as the face of the business in pitch scenarios.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
• Oversee cost planning, programme development, and design coordination at pre-con stage.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are commercially sound and operationally deliverable.
• Mentor and develop pre-construction team members, fostering high performance.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in a senior pre-construction leadership role within the construction sector.
• Strong front-end, client-facing presence – confident presenting to and influencing decision-makers.
• Deep understanding of commercial fit-out project lifecycles, cost planning, and design management.
• Ability to operate strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to winning work.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Package & Incentives

• Base Salary: £125k – £175k (depending on experience).
• Bonus: Up to 50% of base salary, paid quarterly on achieving targets.
