Position Summary

The Director, Proposal & Bid Management will lead Strada’s global proposal and bid function, ensuring our submissions are strategically positioned, compliant, and compelling. This role will centralize content, governance, and risk oversight while driving innovation in how we qualify, pursue, and win deals. The Director will partner with Sales, Solutions, Marketing, and Operations to develop high-impact proposals that differentiate Strada in the market, embed win strategies, and capture meaningful insights through post-mortem and win/loss analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and operating model for proposal and bid management to increase win rates and operational efficiency.
    • Establish robust qualification processes to prioritize high-value opportunities aligned with business strategy.
    • Embed win strategy frameworks into proposal development, ensuring market positioning and competitive differentiation are clear and compelling.
    • Lead post-mortem reviews and win/loss analysis to generate actionable insights for future pursuits.
  • Governance & Quality
    • Centralize ownership of proposal content, ensuring compliance with legal, commercial, and brand standards.
    • Implement governance processes for content accuracy, security, and version control across all bids.
    • Oversee tool and platform management (e.g., Loopio) to enable efficient content curation and collaboration.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with Sales, Solution Architects, and Subject Matter Experts to craft winning narratives that reflect Strada’s value proposition and market strengths.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to deal teams on competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and proposal structure.
    • Facilitate alignment across internal stakeholders to ensure proposals reflect strategic priorities and customer needs.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and develop a high-performing, global proposal management team.
    • Establish career development pathways, mentoring, and skills-building programs for proposal professionals.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in proposal management, bid strategy, or sales operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in leading strategic, high-value proposals in a competitive, global environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bid qualification processes, content governance, and proposal best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex solutions into compelling customer narratives.
  • Experience with proposal automation tools (Loopio or similar) and CRM/Sales systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and manage cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in win/loss analysis and applying insights to improve outcomes.
