Job Purpose:

The Global Director – Key Account Management – Medtech, (Global Key Account Manager), will be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our key MEDTECH (medical devices, diagnostics and equipment) clients across the globe. This role is pivotal to our organisation's growth strategy, focusing on client retention, expansion, and delivering top-notch logistics solutions. The successful candidate will be an expert in the Life sciences, healthcare and specific Medtech (medical devices, diagnostics and equipment) logistics industry, have a deep understanding of client needs, and possess exceptional relationship-building skills.

Key Accountabilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key MEDTECH (medical devices, diagnostics and equipment ) clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.

  • Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for clients within the organization.

  • Account Growth and Expansion:

  • Identify account growth and expansion opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to develop solutions.

  • Ensure that clients know all the services and capabilities our company can offer (the toolbox) to meet their evolving logistics requirements and the possibilities of connecting the various capabilities of the toolboxes to offer fit-for-purpose solutions

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Create and implement strategic account plans for key clients, aligning their objectives with our logistics solutions.
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for client engagement.
  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for clients within the organisation.
  • Advise capability sales to increase probability of closing opportunities

  • Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.

  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Experience, Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in healthcare logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in global key account management, with demonstrated client retention and growth success in MedTech (Medical devices, diagnostics and equipment).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (., CRM systems, Excel, logistics software).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Experience with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
