HR Director - Interim

Location: London

Deliver the HR agenda for a multi-disciplinary construction and engineering business. This interim role involves shaping and delivering practical people solutions to support day-to-day operations, reporting to the Board and leading a lean HR function. Focus on ensuring HR activity translates into tangible outcomes across offices, sites and regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR function and act as a reliable, responsive partner to the business.
• Support attraction and retention for site-based roles.
• Ensure supervisors and managers are equipped to lead their teams effectively.
• Build clear and workable career pathways and align workforce planning with operational requirements.
• Translate HR activity into tangible outcomes across offices, sites and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR leader with credibility and resilience, and a strong record of delivering HR operations in complex, operational environments.
• Sector experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing or similar is highly relevant.
• Pragmatic, action-oriented and confident working at pace.
