As part of this successful and growth driven, global manufacturing organisation, the UK business operation now requires a HR Director to join their team, who will be responsible for shaping and implementing the people strategy, leading organisational development, managing and mentoring the HR team and playing a key role in supporting growth objectives.


This role has hybrid/ flexible working arrangements as well as a highly attractive compensation and benefits package.


The Role:

Reporting to the UK Managing Director, as HR Director, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • leading the development and execution of a global HR strategy aligned with business goals
  • overseeing talent acquisition, retention, succession and leadership development to build future-ready talent pipelines
  • helping shape scalable structures and driving organisational change to meet evolving business needs
  • championing DEI initiatives that promote an inclusive workplace
  • ensuring efficient HR operations and full compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements
  • driving initiatives to enhance employee experience and engagement
  • utilise technology and data to improve HR effectiveness and support evidence-based decision-making
  • managing the HR budget and building a strong, regionally-aligned HR team to deliver strategic priorities
  • contributing to cross-company initiatives and projects, ensuring collaboration and knowledge sharing that benefits the wider group


As HR Director, you will be required to operate at a strategic level in order to advise, implement and influence at all levels throughout the business.


The Candidate:

Ideally of graduate standard, or higher, candidates for the HR Director role will have preferably worked within a senior business or HR focused discipline.


In addition, candidates for the HR Director role will be required to demonstrate that they have/ are:

  • progressively complex/strategic HR work experience in the same or similar role, preferably from within the manufacturing or engineering sectors
  • previously worked within a complex or multi-national organisation
  • familiarity with European employment law
  • experience and knowledge of HR Transformation
  • previous experience of developing and executing comprehensive talent management strategies across the employee lifecycle


Candidates for the HR Director role should also have:

  • proven stakeholder management abilities with strategic thinking skills
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible in a challenging environment
  • the capability to be a hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative with a positive and professional outlook
  • the ability to work effectively within a team but also under their own initiative, demonstrating that they are an organised and capable individual, used to multi-tasking and can prioritise their workload in order to meet exacting deadlines
  • the ability to be commercially astute, analytical and results driven with a strong commitment to success and excellence
  • the capacity to be a strong, capable leader, with the presence to motivate and influence across all levels of the business


Candidates should note that there will be some international travel with this role.
