About Our Client:

A privately owned, international precision engineering group within the aerospace and defence sectors is seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director to join the Board and help guide the business through its next phase of growth and diversification.

Non Executive Director - Role:

This is a significant opportunity for a senior industry leader to act as a trusted advisor and critical friend to the Board — supporting the organisation’s transition from “good to great.”

As a Non-Executive Director, you will provide strategic challenge, independent oversight, and sector insight to help shape the company’s future direction. You will bring a global perspective on aerospace and defence manufacturing, an understanding of emerging technologies, and the network to open new doors for growth in adjacent markets.

Non Executive Director - Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Board in defining and delivering strategy for growth, diversification, and long-term value creation

- Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to ensure sound governance and commercial discipline

- Advise on market, customer, and technology trends to strengthen competitiveness and sustainability

- Use your industry network to identify and enable new opportunities and partnerships

- Mentor and support the executive team, helping them navigate growth, transformation, and cultural evolution

Non Executive Director - You:

- Senior leadership experience within aerospace, defence, or complex precision manufacturing, ideally with international exposure

- Deep understanding of manufacturing and technology trends across the sector

- Proven ability to contribute at a Board or strategic advisory level with strong commercial and strategic acumen

- Well-connected within the aerospace and defence ecosystem, able to leverage networks to create opportunity

- Collaborative, pragmatic, and values-driven — able to influence, challenge, and support in equal measure

- Globally minded, culturally aware, and aligned to the organisation’s long-term ambitions

This appointment will appeal to a dynamic, forward-thinking leader — either an experienced NED or a senior executive looking to take on their first non-executive role within a high-performing, values-led international engineering group.
