Role: Project Director – Construction – MEP

Client: Leading M&E Contractor

Location: Bristol, UK

Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Our client is a major Mechanical and Electrical contractor delivering large-scale projects across the UK and Europe. With a strong portfolio spanning Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, and Data Centre sectors, they are known for their high-quality project delivery and technical expertise.

The Role:

The MEP Project Director will be responsible for the successful leadership and delivery of a major industrial project in Bristol. This role will suit an ambitious Senior MEP Project Manager seeking to progress into a Project Director position, with the opportunity to take full responsibility for project execution and client delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the overall delivery of a large-scale industrial project in Bristol.
• Providing direction and oversight to project teams across M&E disciplines.
• Managing client relationships and acting as the key point of contact throughout the project.
• Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and risk management.
• Ensuring technical compliance, quality, and safety standards are maintained.
• Managing subcontractors and supply chain performance.
• Supporting business growth by contributing to bids and tender processes when required.

Requirements:

• Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Senior MEP Project Manager, ideally seeking progression to Project Director level.
• Strong background in industrial project delivery (pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or large-scale process facilities).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong commercial and contract management knowledge.
• Effective communicator with the ability to develop client relationships.
