The successful applicant will ideally be located in a commutable distance to either London, Leeds, Birmingham or Exeter.
The role is critical to achieving our strategic growth ambitions, ensuring high standards of delivery, maximising client value, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Lead the regional implementation of Aqua's strategic plan, aligning with national priorities and growth targets. Manage and optimise delivery across all service lines within your region, driving performance, productivity, and profitability. Champion the regional operating model, ensuring consistency in governance, reporting, and ways of working. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a senior point of contact for key regional clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. Lead or support strategic bids and proposals, leveraging your knowledge of local market needs and trends. Collaborate with Sales and Commercial colleagues to develop and grow the regional pipeline. People Leadership
Lead, develop and inspire regional teams including Business Unit Directors and senior delivery leads. Embed a high-performance culture with a strong focus on collaboration, safety, well-being and development. Ensure effective resource planning and utilisation to meet business demand and optimise headcount. Commercial & Financial Management
Own regional P&L, ensuring delivery of revenue, margin, and utilisation targets. Monitor project performance, cost control, risk management and commercial outcomes. Support effective commercial decision-making including rate cards, scope management, and client contracts. Governance & Compliance
Ensure projects are delivered in line with Aqua's quality standards, industry regulations, and client frameworks. Support continuous improvement and contribute to business transformation initiatives as required. Experience & Competencies
Essential:
Proven experience in a senior leadership role in a consulting, engineering, utilities or infrastructure environment. Demonstrated track record of leading regional teams and delivering operational excellence across multi-disciplinary services. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing regional P&L and complex stakeholder relationships. Collaborative leadership style with high emotional intelligence, strong communication skills and a commitment to people development. Desirable:
Experience within the water sector or regulated infrastructure consulting. Understanding of NEC contracts and client-side delivery frameworks. Chartered status or equivalent in an engineering, commercial, or project discipline. What we would like to offer you:
