Sales Director – Energy Brokerage | UKWe’re partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed energy brokerage and advisory firm that’s on a mission to reshape the UK energy market, and we’re looking for a Sales Director who can lead from the front and scale a high-performing sales engine.This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role at a pivotal stage of growth. With bold M&A activity underway and a plan to expand the direct sales team from 6 to 25+ in the next six months, the business is gearing up for a major scale-up phase and needs an experienced, hands-on leader to bring structure, pace, and performance excellence.If you’re the kind of leader who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments, knows how to build and inspire top-performing sales teams, and has a track record of driving revenue in energy, renewables, or B2B services, this could be your next big move.What You’ll Drive:Lead and scale the direct sales function, from team structure and hiring to coaching, performance management, and culture.Develop and implement scalable sales strategies and processes that underpin rapid team growth and M&A integration.Drive commercial success across new business, renewals, and cross-sell of value-added services (solar, energy audits, monitoring solutions).Collaborate with the executive team to refine and execute the go-to-market and growth strategy.Own and deliver against sales P&L targets, ensuring strong client retention and lifetime value.Core Requirements:Full ownership of the direct sales pipelineEnd-to-end accountability for opportunity creation, qualification, and conversion.Strong triage discipline to prioritise high-value, high-probability opportunities.Lead generation and ICP ownershipDefine and continuously refine the ideal customer profile.Build a predictable inbound/outbound engine through tight alignment with marketing.Inspirational, hands-on leadershipLead from the front, actively on calls, deals, and customer visits.Build, coach and retain a high-activity, high-accountability sales culture.Data-driven and analytically mindedUse data to diagnose performance, identify optimisation levers, and forecast accurately.Proficient in CRM discipline, reporting, and metrics-based management.Team assessment and performance upliftProven experience evaluating inherited sales teams (through appointment or acquisition).Track record of restructuring, coaching, and upskilling to drive measurable improvement.M&A and integration experienceExposure to post-acquisition integration of sales teams, systems and cultures across the UK and Europe.Ability to assess commercial performance and align acquired sales functions with group KPIs.Cross-sell mindsetExperience embedding new revenue lines (solar, optimisation, monitoring, audits) into an existing client base. About You:Proven ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing B2B sales teams in fast-growth or transformation settings.A hands-on, people-centric leader who develops and empowers talent while embedding sales discipline and process.Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, capable of driving consistency across multi-site or multi-entity operations.Experience in energy brokerage, Solar-as-a-Service, or adjacent sectors (insurance, financial services, etc.).Exposure to private equity-backed, buy-and-build models is a major plus.If you have a large network within the Public Sector, Property and/or Food, Retail & Hotels sector, that's advantageousAble to lead from an office environment 3/4 days per weekWhat’s On OfferCompetitive base salary + uncapped performance-based commissionEquity opportunity as the business scalesThe chance to shape and define the commercial future of a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven organisationIf you’re ready to take the reins and build something exceptional in the energy space, let’s talk.
