Lead the environmental and consenting aspects of projects, with particular experience in building and growing teams. A Chartered Town Planner, the role forms part of the leadership for the Planning and Environmental Assessment and Management (PEAM) Team. You will focus on the integration of environmental input within the Planning process. Responsibilities

Lead recruitment, growth, actively oversee bidding and project delivery, and lead on key clients as part of the Leadership. Coordinate and deliver planning / environmental work undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams, influence project development and deliver optimal environmental and planning outcomes. Support business development activities through external market profile-raising and engagement with key clients. Raise awareness of our services, win new opportunities, and build new contacts. Engage in key client relationships; lead by example and create cross-selling opportunities for the wider business. Engage with consultees and stakeholders. Manage projects, overseeing performance on technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety aspects.

Qualifications & Experience

Excellent working knowledge of the UK Planning system and consenting process, including EIA practices and procedures, case law, and environmental and sustainability principles and technical specialisms. Experience across a range of project types; multi-disciplinary co-ordination and leadership of projects; strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills. Experience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators and stakeholders. Commercial expertise, including forecasting, project management and quality assurance. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with chartered status or working towards. A flexible, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to work. Experience in the delivery of DCO/TWAO/Hybrid Bills. Full Member of RTPI.
