WOS Grade K Deputy Director of Capital Planning & DeliveryTo provide leadership for the strategic development of the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust sites, taking authority and responsibility for the management, co-ordination and delivery of the Trust Capital Programme ensuring Trust business development and occupier criteria are met in line with agreed time, cost and quality objectives whilst minimising impact of projects on trust income, patient experience and operational activity, and follow standing financial instructions at all times.The post holder reports directly to the Director of Capital Planning & Delivery and shall deputise for the Director and represent the Trust on regional and national groups. The post holder is responsible for the successful implementation of capital funded investments and projects from inception to completion, utilising traditional and partnering contract strategies including JCT and NEC contract strategies as well as having oversight of investments in medical devices, estates infrastructure and IM&T.Main duties of the jobThe post holder shall lead project teams in the development and drafting of investment business cases (SOC, OBC's, and FBC's) in line with the Capital Investment Manual, and national guidance. Lead the design development and engagement process for clinical, clinical support, facilities management and IM&T areas of new health facilities, ensuring that the public and staff are fully involved. Lead the engagement with other public sector partners such as local government, police and fire authorities.The post holder shall support appropriate governance structures and provide assurance in the planning and delivery of the capital programme, providing leadership to a team of capital development project managers ensuring team behaviours reflect the Trusts values at all times. The post holder shall ensure that all projects are transacted in line with best governance principles and designs meets all relevant technical legislative and NHS regulatory requirements.
