The purpose of the role is to assist the Hotel Finance Relationship Directors (“RD”) to originate, negotiate and execute new business within Leumi UK’s risk and return parameters and contribute to managing a portfolio of loans effectively in order to achieve the performance and other targets set with reference to the Hotel Finance team’s suite of KPIs. Working as part of a team to deliver the business’ goals and supporting brand awareness of Leumi UK as a specialist real estate lender across UK & Europe.


What will you be responsible for as an Associate Director at Leumi UK?


  • Business Origination & Execution – to assist RDs with structuring, negotiation, credit presentation and execution of new business in addition to leading and managing transactions independently with clients and advisors.
  • Relationship Management – to assist RDs to manage a book of hotel finance loans within Leumi UK’s policy and appetite statements in addition to covering for RDs when absent and being an escalation point for the Relationship Managers to support portfolio management where required.
  • Workflow management – to manage and prioritise work commitments to meet team objectives.
  • Returns – generate returns that provide a sensible risk reward profile with a mix of income lines to deliver profits in line with Leumi UK targets.
  • Brand Awareness – using existing and new contact networks actively promote the Leumi UK Hotel Finance brand through a variety of channels including attending in person industry related events.
  • Risk Management – demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of Leumi UK’s credit policy with an ability to identify and manage risks appropriately for both new and existing loans; together with all AML, operational, conduct, data protection, IT and other related risks.
  • Communication and Presentation – to be able to interact with customers, colleagues and professionals using a multitude of communication and presentation methods.
  • Negotiation – be able to apply negotiation skills to the role or origination and relationship management, influencing both internal and external stakeholders appropriately.
  • Leadership – Provide support and guidance to Relationship Managers supporting their development and career progression.


Our ideal candidate will have a university degree and / or proven experience in real estate finance, ideally with a track record of originating, negotiating and executing loan terms on new and existing loans. We're looking for someone who has a broad and deep knowledge of the UK real estate and specifically the hotel market, understanding of a hotel p/l and the key hotel metrics as well as the types of management agreements in hotels. Our ideal candidate has strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with ability to interact and influence senior level stakeholders as well as ability to manage and motivate other staff members.
