As we continue to grow our business, a new role has been created for a Delivery Director. As a strategic partner to the CTO and CPO, you’ll ensure our ambitious technology and product vision translates into predictable, scalable, and high-quality delivery. You will embed delivery excellence at the core of the organisation, establishing frameworks, governance, and planning disciplines that enable 300+ technologists to operate as one high-performing unit. You’ll lead portfolio-level planning and governance, aligning clusters and value streams to drive strategic outcomes. By championing Programme Increment Planning and robust delivery standards, you’ll foster transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Partnering with senior engineering and product leaders, you’ll facilitate cross-functional decisions, resolve complex dependencies, and proactively mitigate risks. Your leadership will shape how we deliver today and build the delivery culture that fuels our future growth. Key Focus Areas include
Portfolio and cluster-level delivery planning and governance Quarterly Planning ceremony ownership and facilitation Cross-cluster dependency management and risk mitigation Delivery process standardisation and continuous improvement Strategic partnership with Engineering leadership for transformation
Key Responsibilities
Establish and lead delivery governance across the technology organisation, ensuring alignment of portfolio and cluster-level plans with strategic business objectives. Own and facilitate Programme Increment (PI) Planning ceremonies, driving cross-cluster coordination and ensuring integrated portfolio delivery plans with clear dependencies and risk management. Define and evolve delivery standards and frameworks, embedding consistent planning, reporting and governance practices across all clusters and value streams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging delivery metrics such as DORA, lead time and quality indicators to optimise flow and predictability. Partner with senior engineering and product leaders to ensure seamless integration of delivery processes with product roadmaps and engineering priorities, enabling effective decision-making and risk mitigation. Lead organisational change in delivery capability, including agile coaching, process enablement and the development of planning disciplines that scale with business growth. Provide executive-level delivery reporting, including portfolio status, risk registers and KPI dashboards, ensuring transparency and accountability at all levels. Facilitate dependency resolution and escalation management, ensuring timely intervention to protect delivery commitments and strategic outcomes. Champion a culture of delivery excellence, fostering collaboration, accountability and adaptability across the technology organisation.
Skills
10+ years of proven experience and leadership in large-scale delivery within product-led, B2B and SaaS organisations Skilled in quarterly planning and portfolio-level governance Strong understanding of delivery metrics and governance frameworks Effective in managing dependencies, risks, and cross-functional alignment Experience driving process standardisation and continuous improvement across scaled teams Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive-level reporting Proficient in Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) Track record of leading organisational change and building delivery capability Agile/Product certifications will be advantageous
