Job Title: Global Business Development Director
Location: London
Work pattern: Full time/Permanent/Hybrid working
This is a full-time permanent position, based in our London office. We operate in a hybrid capacity and require 2 days in the office. All applicants must have the legal right to live and work permanently in the UK.
Role Description
We seek a business development director to expand our global client base for our range of custom and proprietary services delivering dedicated “big data” audience analytics solutions and tools. Our clients include OTT and streaming platforms, cable and satellite operators and networks, CTV platforms and JIC Joint Industry Committee audience measurement currency services.
The Service
The specific business unit operates in a fast-evolving space within the media audience research sector. It extends beyond a legacy suite of solutions in processing Cable and Satellite Operator Return Path Data, to processing more complex and diverse first-party large scale digital viewing data.
- Our solutions offer methodologies and reporting tools to help our clients analyse
- Audience size, frequency of viewing and socio-demographic profiles
- Subscriber churn, loyalty and revenue optimisation
- Audience segmentation for programmatic and addressable advertising
- Viewing behaviour for deep level content investment and acquisition, commissioning and scheduling strategies
Your Responsibilities
- Significantly grow and generate new business year on year, by achieving annual sales goals and revenue targets.
- Build upon our existing RPD return path data and first party data audience analytics business, developing a new client roster working with broadcaster, content providers and distribution platforms around the world.
- Work through your established network, our CRM tools, and industry data analysis.
- Work with high senior level positions at clients and prospects and drive sales across our multiple big data solutions by articulating compelling value propositions.
- Collaborative selling, working closely with the Product and Solution Area Leads, Regional Client Leads, and the broader business areas across Kantar Media.
- Respond with great speed and thoughtfulness to inbound leads and maximise your sales list potential.
- Lead demonstrations on the transformative potential of our solutions, focusing on unique selling propositions with a keen eye toward competitors.
- Work within a matrix structure to harness the capabilities of our client leads and solution experts to win.
- Be a resource for in-depth knowledge of solutions, competitors, and market conditions, while pulling in the relevant Kantar Media domain experts to help close the sale.
Your Profile
- Proven success in selling custom solutions to large enterprises.
- 10 years of experience in servicing clients with media analytics and/or audience research solutions using large scale data, data science and machine learning.
- Ideally you will have experience using TechEdge analytics software and other similar solutions.
- Strong and demonstrable understanding of data, data integration systems and privacy and compliance dynamics.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills with ability to translate complex systems and solutions to commercial and business-focused stakeholders.
- Demonstrable proof in managing complex client procurement needs, contracts and pricing.
- Good listener and flexible narrator who systematically adapts their communication to their audience.
- Adaptable and open to new content and unforeseen circumstances; comfortable with a consultative sales process
- Ability to travel overseas regularly and as necessary.
- A relevant and strong academic background showing high level numeracy.
- Fluent English with multi-lingual skills beneficial. Spanish being very useful.
