This is a full-time permanent position, based in our London office. We operate in a hybrid capacity and require 2 days in the office. All applicants must have the legal right to live and work permanently in the UK.

Role Description

We seek a business development director to expand our global client base for our range of custom and proprietary services delivering dedicated “big data” audience analytics solutions and tools. Our client base includes OTT and streaming platforms, cable and satellite operators and networks, CTV platforms and JIC Joint Industry Committee audience measurement currency services. The service operates in a fast-evolving space within the media audience research sector and extends beyond legacy solutions to include more complex first-party large-scale digital viewing data.

Your Responsibilities

  • Significantly grow and generate new business year on year, by achieving annual sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Build upon RPD return path data and first party data audience analytics, developing a new client roster with broadcasters, content providers and distribution platforms worldwide.
  • Leverage your network, CRM tools, and industry data analysis to drive opportunities.
  • Engage with senior client and prospect stakeholders to drive sales across multiple big data solutions, articulating compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Solution Area Leads, Regional Client Leads, and other Kantar Media teams to win opportunities.
  • Respond rapidly to inbound leads and maximize sales potential.
  • Lead demonstrations on the transformative potential of our solutions, highlighting unique selling propositions while considering competitors.
  • Work in a matrix structure with client leads and solution experts to close deals.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of solutions, competitors, and market conditions, and involve relevant Kantar Media domain experts as needed.

Your Profile

  • Proven success in selling custom solutions to large enterprises.
  • Approximately 10 years of experience servicing clients with media analytics and/or audience research solutions using large-scale data, data science and machine learning.
  • Experience with TechEdge analytics software or similar solutions is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data, data integration systems, and privacy/compliance dynamics.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills with the ability to translate complex systems to business-focused stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client procurement needs, contracts and pricing.
  • Strong listening skills and adaptable communication style.
  • Flexible, with a consultative sales approach; able to adapt to new content and circumstances.
  • Ability to travel overseas regularly as needed.
  • Strong numeracy and an academically solid background.
  • Fluent English; multilingual skills (Spanish helpful).
