Director, Project Controls - Infrastructure

We have exciting opportunities for Director-level Project Controls professionals to deliver across major infrastructure projects and programmes in the UK. Suitable candidates should have proven experience in sectors such as rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver project controls services, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery on large, complex and mega projects.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPIs to improve project performance.
  • Lead and manage multiple project controls functions including risk management, schedule management, cost management, and change control.
  • Influence and guide senior stakeholders to improve performance.
  • Act as the day-to-day project team interface to ensure client objectives are met and projects are delivered within time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Contribute to technical services delivery, supporting the centre of excellence in developing and implementing the PMO project controls service.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality standards, on time and within budget.
  • Ensure project controls delivery aligns with the clients objectives and the conditions of appointment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant technical degree and management qualifications; experience in project control roles for development and/or delivery of construction projects.
  • Experience in planning & scheduling and cost management.
  • Experience in risk management, change control information management and reporting on complex projects, and integration of these functions.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of specialists, enabling training and development for junior staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
