Overview

East Hampshire District Council are looking for a qualified ambitious and innovative EHO/Food & Safety Officer, looking for a new opportunity in a busy Food and Safety team. You will have proven experience to carry out food hygiene and health and safety inspections, communicable disease, complaint and accident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Offer advice, guidance and support to businesses to achieve compliance in these matters.
• Carry out food hygiene and health and safety inspections.
• Investigate communicable disease, complaints and accidents.

Qualifications and requirements

• Qualified EHO/Food & Safety Officer.
• Experience in regulatory or public health environment is essential; open to applicants at the start of their career or with more experience.
• You must be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise your work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be a great team player.
• A full UK driving license and access to a car while at work.

The position will comprise a hybrid style of working, as a mix of both home and office-based working, to suit the work / life balance of the successful applicant.
