Job Title: Finance Officer (Maternity Cover)

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and qualified Finance Officer to join a dynamic school team for a maternity cover role. The ideal candidate will have relevant finance qualifications and a solid understanding of finance processes. While experience working in schools is preferred, we are open to applicants with a strong finance background who are eager to adapt to school-specific systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Oversee and maintain accurate financial records.

Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Process and reconcile financial transactions.

Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure financial compliance.

Learn and adapt to school financial systems and procedures.

Requirements:

Finance qualifications (e.g., AAT, degree in finance or equivalent).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Experience working with purchase ledgers is essential.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to a school environment.

Previous experience in a school finance role is desirable, but not essential.
