Why We Think You Will Love This Role Priority from O2 is a leading account within the agency and the Virgin Media O2 partnership. The role provides leadership for both the client and the agency, with a seat at senior client and agency meetings. You will collaborate with the client to develop plans and drive their vision for the next two years, deliver insights and direction, and craft client growth plans. You will lead internal team development and help grow the business, seeking incremental work to expand the team and create agency-leading processes. You will have opportunities to work on key agency initiatives and new business pitches across locations. What You Will Bring To The Agency As Group Account Director on Priority, you will lead your team to deliver best-in-class performance, focusing on development and client growth while mentoring your team. You will work with senior management at VMO2 and tms planning experts to develop strategies that drive real change and activate partnerships that meet KPIs. Responsibilities
Client Partnership and Development
Lead the client-agency relationship at the most senior level; become a trusted advisor to the Director of Priority and Head of Partnerships at O2 Develop relationships with key stakeholders within and across VMO2; understand their contribution and how we can help deliver results Align strategies across the roster of agencies working with VMO2; build toward the client’s objectives Know the client’s business inside out, mine for insights and opportunities, and engage the client in delivering value Set clear goals for new workstreams and ensure they are met Produce quarterly board meetings to engage lead clients and drive high-impact work Articulate ideas succinctly to senior level clients; set the tone for the team Encourage a close partnership between VMO2 and tms to ensure longevity of the relationship Identify new areas within VMO2 to add value and bring new solutions forward
Project Management
Oversee account workings and current workstreams; advise Senior Account Director and Account Director as issues arise Collaborate across the wider agency to build effective teams for new workstreams Work with Operations Leads to develop processes for the larger Client Service team Direct changes to how the business reviews performance and shares results Oversee post-project reviews and evaluation reports; advise on presenting results
Account Management
Lead the vision for VMO2 in 2026; partner with Strategy and Innovation Lead to develop research and insights Assess current partnerships and workstreams to optimize opportunities for tms Client contract negotiation and financial oversight; support budgeting and robust processes Ensure profitability and budget targets; upskill Account Managers and Executives Oversight of partnership management and identification of opportunities
Team Management and Agency Leadership
Be a clear leader within the agency; represent Priority and raise its profile Champion the team’s work at internal events; foster a culture of knowledge sharing Develop plans for direct reports and manage the broader team Ensure the team feels motivated and supported; create the correct structure for Priority Manage upwards and provide confidence to the internal senior management team Act as an inspiring leader across project teams; champion diversity and inclusion
Skills And Experience We Would Like You To Have You will have a solid background as an agency leader and experience in creating fame for brands. You’re an inspirational people manager, who can drive growth while helping others stay motivated, develop, and work as a team. You will know what makes consumers tick and how to build campaigns that exceed client expectations and deliver on KPIs.
Experience of working in an integrated agency environment or client side at a senior level. Previous GAD experience is desirable. Solid knowledge of creating effective brand campaigns TTL; experience in partnerships and loyalty space Proven ability to be a real leader and inspire your team Experience managing large client accounts (revenue) Experience in developing agency process and managing large teams Strong strategic thinking with experience driving high-profile accounts Experience building rapport and influencing C-level stakeholders Strong financial acumen and contract negotiation skills Ability to present ideas confidently to senior level clients
