Job Description
Managing Director – Property Development
We’re seeking a proven senior leader to take ownership of operations and delivery within a fast-growing residential developer. This is a true leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, delivery, and building high-performing teams in a scaling environment.
About the Role
As Managing Director, you will take full accountability for operational delivery, financial oversight, and execution across an established development pipeline. You’ll bring structure and visibility to every aspect of delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with clear alignment between finance and operations.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who wants to shape the business, strengthen delivery functions, and embed the right systems, processes, and team accountability for scalable growth. You’ll be trusted to lead change while maintaining strong collaboration with ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimise the development and operations teams, including recruitment, performance, and structure.
- Take ownership of P&L, cash flow, and management accounts, driving financial clarity and accountability.
- Oversee the delivery of the full development pipeline, ensuring programme, procurement, and funding are aligned.
- Implement reporting and operational systems that improve efficiency, forecasting, and financial visibility.
- Strengthen collaboration between finance and delivery teams, ensuring real-time insight into project performance.
- Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all functions.
- Work closely with ownership to align operational delivery with strategic growth goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience leading delivery and operations within a property development environment.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, with confidence managing cash flow and P&L.
- Track record of improving delivery performance through systems, process, and team development.
- Strategic mindset paired with hands-on operational capability.
- Confident and decisive leadership style, able to challenge constructively and lead through change.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture where autonomy and performance are rewarded.
What You’ll Get in Return
- Full operational autonomy and authority to make meaningful change.
- Opportunity to shape a fast-scaling developer and deliver significant growth.
- Competitive base package with long-term incentives and potential equity participation.
- High visibility role working directly with ownership and investors.
- A chance to create lasting impact! Setting the tone for the company’s next phase of success.
