Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Account Director to join our growing team. This role requires solid client services experience in healthcare, with the ability to lead client strategy engagements and supervise project execution across different communication platforms, while driving new business opportunities. The position offers the opportunity to work with leading clients in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and health IT fields.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional client relationship skills.
  • Hands-on delivery: balance big-picture strategic development with guidance and ensure flawless execution of associated tactics.
  • Guide clients on integrated marketing/communications decisions, identify opportunities to increase brand visibility, including consultative selling.
  • Develop high-level and persuasive communications plans (annual, quarterly, etc.).
  • Manage client budgets, resourcing, budget tracking, staffing, and billability.
  • Ensure the account team’s quality aligns with the highest standards and respond strategically and timely to client requests.
  • Directly supervise account staff and promote continuous learning and development to build an impactful culture.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to deadlines; capable of leading multiple tasks by priority and bringing structure to problems.

  • Proven work ethic with high-quality deliverables on schedule and on budget.
  • Positive, adaptable thinker who can perform under pressure and innovates as needed.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; confident public speaking with clients, vendors, and affiliates.
  • Intermediate to advanced social media capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze data/research and draw actionable insights.
  • Project management experience with ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets.
  • Experience encouraging professional development of direct reports and influencing across matrixed teams.
  • Desirable: scientific knowledge from educational degree or work in high-science accounts.

Note: The position requires international travel for client meetings and conferences (approximately 20–30%).
