QLM Search is proud to be the retained partner with one of the UK’s Private Equity backed leading food manufacturing businesses – a high-performing, market-recognised with ambitious targets. As part of their strategic plans, the business is seeking a Site Director to lead a key manufacturing facility in Lincolnshire.
With ongoing investment, the site is positioned for significant expansion through continuous improvement, efficiency initiatives, and strategic capacity growth.
The Opportunity: This is a pivotal leadership role. The Site Director will drive operational excellence, culture transformation, and people development while delivering on commercial and production KPIs. With a newly created senior leadership team on-site, the incoming Site Director must be a proven, hands-on leader, experienced at navigating change and supporting team maturity and capability growth.
Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction to all functions across the site (Operations, Engineering, HSE, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) Deliver performance improvements aligned to KPIs across safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, and growth Lead, mentor, and develop the site leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement Champion LEAN methodologies, driving operational efficiency and sustainable cost savings Maintain and improve site compliance with health, safety, food safety, and environmental standards Collaborate with Group Leadership to ensure alignment with broader business strategy and group performance goals Lead the site’s role in capital projects, NPD introductions, and capacity planning for future growth
About You: Proven experience as a Site Director (or equivalent senior manufacturing leader) in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment Strong track record of team leadership, especially during periods of change, growth, or transformation Deep understanding of operational excellence, CI/LEAN principles, and leading multifunctional teams Commercially astute, data-driven, and results-oriented Resilient, collaborative, and inspiring communicator
