OverviewAssociate / Associate Director - Structures - Energy role at WSP. The role is based in Newcastle or Teesside.What you will doJoin the Building Structures team as an Associate or Associate Director with accountability for the project management, technical leadership and delivery of schemes from inception through to handover to the client.Develop innovative and sustainable designs from concept for a range of projects, including transportation hubs, tall towers, healthcare, defence and education schemes, working with national and local architects.Lead multi-disciplinary design projects from concept through to detailed design, coordinating with Architects, Engineers and specialist consultants.Contribute to ongoing success and help build a growing order book.Form strong working relationships with other WSP disciplines, external design consultants, stakeholders and clients; provide sustainable development solutions from site selection through to detailed design and Construction; provide specialist advice on sustainable design, net zero carbon, MMC & DfMA.Report to a senior team member and work on high-profile major multi-disciplinary development projects across sectors including Transportation, High-rise, Commercial & Mixed use, Retail, Education and Healthcare, including recent wins in Defence.Your teamJoin a diverse team that leads large multi-disciplinary projects and provides bespoke structural solutions to niche and architectural-led concepts.Build strong relationships with other WSP disciplines, external consultants, stakeholders and clients.Support sustainable development solutions from site selection through to detailed design and construction.Provide specialist advice on sustainable design, net zero carbon, MMC & DfMA.What we will be looking for you to demonstrateA proven track record of successful design delivery on major projects and multi-discipline building schemes, including concept design and project inception stages.Project management and technical delivery leadership experience on medium to large schemes.Excellent interpersonal and leadership potential with the ability to communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders and clients.Chartered (MIStructE/MICE).Experience managing projects commercially and technically using appropriate business tools.Experience in team management including line management and day-to-day operations.Experience acting as lead client contact for consultancy services and fostering strong client relationships. #J-18808-Ljbffr
